to provide a unique sign language and interpreter
service with a communication system that will provide
the ability for the hearing communities to communicate
with the deaf and hard of hearing communities. |

service is not intended to replace an interpreter
but to provide an additional or required service
when an interpreter is not available. |
| The
initial populations targeted for this service are
persons who are deaf or hard of hearing. However,
the service available from Vital Communications
Inc. is a program application to act as a reasonable
accommodation for many other individuals who face
unique communication challenges. |
| For
instance, persons with a learning disability, auditory
processing disorders, severe language impairments
that may come from experiencing difficulty with
multitasking, reduced hand/arm mobility and many
others personal challenges. |
| The
services we offer can also benefit those who are
in need of a sophisticated note taking technology
to provide real time text for future referencing
at meetings, seminars and education theatres. Persons
with a specific learning disability and other persons
with motor disabilities may also benefit from the
program for access to communication and note taking
during classes and training session, discussions,
and meetings. |
| Any
severe language impairment, either acquired or developmental,
results in the need for communication accessibility.
Therefore, those individuals with significant expressive
speech or voice disorders may benefit from the voice
output capabilities that will allow them to interact
independently in personal and group conversations. |

about the literacy levels of students who are deaf
